Corruption Fight: Goodluck Jonathan’s Face.
from Ken Agala, Abuja.
This post I sent in January lends credence to what Femi Falana said about quiet and effective loot recovery under President Jonathan :
“They said he doesn’t fight corruption in high places. But he filed corruption charges against
1] Former US Vice President, Dick Cheney,
2] Albert Stanley ( former Chairman of KBR),
3] David Lesar( CEO of Haliburton)
4] David Utt( Former MD of KBR).
The US never forgives Jonathan for putting the former Vice President on trial and worked day and night to see his fall.
Global industrial giants charged by Jonathan includes:-
1] Technip SA of France,
2] Snamprogetti Spa and
3] JGC Corp of Japan.
President Goodluck Jonathan arrested and detained 23 top officials including 11 from Haliburton and even the CEO of Saipem Construction in Nigeria.
All were charged in suit CV/435/10 High Court Justice Abuja Judicial Division .
I remember Celestine Akpobari, the former Ogoni activist ( now APC chieftain ) saying ” I would have loved to see Dick Cheney in chains in our court and facing justice in our prisons”
This forced former US President George Bush and former US Secrtary of state James Baker to personally intervene and begged for a plea bargain.
At the end of the case, the former US Vice President and his cohorts paid the sum of $250 million dollars about 45 billion in fines to the Nigerian government. These were for crimes committed between 1994 and 2004 long before he came into office .
These are clear and verifiable facts muffled by the huge media gang up against President Jonathan.
